Commercial Relationship Manager

Northstar Bank Colorado’s Longmont branch currently has an opening for a Commercial Relationship Manager position. The position is a full time/exempt position with a possible Saturday rotation. This position will report to the Market President of Greeley

JOB SUMMARY: The Commercial Relationship Manager is responsible for maintaining and/or generating a loan portfolio over $20 million with a mixture of loans that represent the Northern Colorado market including commercial and customer loans with revenues from $500k to $10 million.

 

Minimum Qualifications include:

  • College degree in business, finance, accounting or a related field or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience as a business banker or commercial loan officer at a bank.
  • Proven track record of superior financial sales performance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Capacity to work independently and motivation to achieve goals with minimal supervision.

Agriculture Relationship Manager

Northstar Bank Colorado’s Otis branch has an opening for an Agriculture Relationship Manager. This is a full-time/exempt position with a possible Saturday rotation. The position will be located at the Otis branch and report to the Market President.

Teller Floater - Greeley

Northstar Bank Colorado’s Northern Region has an opening for a Teller Floater. This is a full-time/non-exempt position supporting the Northern Region branches with coverage, which includes a possible Saturday rotation. The position will be based out of the Greeley branch and report to the Service Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality service to our customers. This includes processing standard teller transactions and answering telephone inquiries.
  • Responsible for maintaining and balancing a cash drawer.
  • Assist in ATM daily cash balancing.
  • Make appropriate general ledger entries.
  • Actively cross-sells products and services and provide customer referrals to the Bank’s business partners.
  • Act as backup to new accounts if needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum two years of experience in Bank operations including a working knowledge of new accounts and teller services with proven ability to present and cross-sell Bank products and services.
  • Proficient use of a computer with knowledge of Windows based software.

Loan Administrator
Full-Time
Denver Tech Center

 

Northstar Bank Colorado currently has an opening for a Loan Administrator. This is a full-time/non-exempt position and will be located in the DTC office. The position will report to the SVP, Loan and Credit Administration.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepares loan documentation and other supporting documentation to including but not limited to:
    • Reviewing consumer and business loan requests.
    • Processing for complex commercial, including and not limited to Borrowing Base loans, Commercial Real Estate, multiple entities as well as consumer real estate and non-real estate loans.
    • Gathers Articles and Corporate lending documents.
    • Performs UCC Searches and Filings.
    • Scanning and uploading documents as needed for new or existing loans.
    • Booking and funding all assigned loans according to bank policies and procedures.
    • Pulling daily reports for new loans, including loan payment verifications and booking exceptions.
    • Verifying property and/or flood insurance when policies arrive.
    • Verifying title policies and endorsements when received.
    • Process draws on lines of credit.
    • Tracks Collateral on loans and clears exception items.
    • Works past due loan reports.
    • Submits all GL entries for approval. Balances accounts as assigned.
  • Performs customer service duties to include:
    • Calling customers.
    • Performing Notary Services.
    • Assisting customers with service inquiries, including credit references and credit disputes.
    • Processes paid off loans.
  • Performs as a team member in allocating and coordinating the work flow.
  • Follow CIP and Know Your Customer guidelines in identifying customers.
  • Completes compliance and other job related training as required.
  • Refers unusual or suspicious activities or transactions to the BSA officer immediately.
  • Complies with all department and bank policies and procedures and maintains compliance with State and Federal Banking Regulations.
  • Contributes to the fulfillment of the department and the bank objectives and goals.
  • Performs as a team member, and completes any other job-related duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of loan documentation experience with emphasis on loan documentation for complex commercial, including and not limited to Borrowing Base loans, Commercial Real Estate, multiple entities as well as consumer real estate and non-real estate loans. Construction documentation or processing experience is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to proficiently use a computer with knowledge of Windows based software.
  • Detailed oriented and well organized. Ability to multi-task.

 

 

BSA Compliance Analyst
Northern Colorado Region

 

Northstar Bank currently has a BSA Compliance Analyst opening. This is a full-time/non-exempt position located in the Northern Colorado Region. The position will report to the BSA Compliance Manager.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform all compliance duties and responsibilities within established scope of authority and expertise, to ensure all regulatory requirements are met.
  • Monitor reports and logs to identify trends, patterns and issues associated with money laundering and other suspicious transactions.
  • Support transactional recordkeeping to ensure filings are within regulatory timelines and related exemptions are properly documented.
  • Analyze reports and research accounts to detect & investigate potential suspicious activity in addition to alerts assigned by the BSA Manager; fully documenting research and results.
  • Assist with responding timely to procedural and documentation related inquiries from branch personnel.
  • Screen Government List alerts and potential matches to ensure Bank is compliant with all federal regulatory and law enforcement agency requests.
  • Assist with initial and ongoing monitoring of customers through Customer Information Program (CIP), Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) monitoring and reviews.
  • Responsible for ongoing review and self-education of banking regulatory changes related to BSA/AML, OFAC and the USA Patriot Act.
  • Be knowledgeable of Bank products, services, customers, geographic locations, and potential money laundering and terrorist financing risks associated with those activities.
  • Demonstrate appropriate personal and interpersonal behavior, attitude, judgment, communication, and initiative when working with colleagues and Bank staff to ensure a high level of support to the overall management of the BSA program.
  • Perform other job related duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of banking experience; with 2 years of experience in the field.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • An analytical mindset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team.

 

 

Customer Service Representative
Castle Rock

 

Northstar Bank currently has a Customer Service Representative opening. This is a full-time/non-exempt position located in the Castle Rock branch. The position will report to the Service Manager.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality service to our customers.
  • Actively cross-sells products and services to fully meet the financial needs of the customer as well as strengthen the customer’s relationship with the Bank.
  • Provide customer referrals to the Bank’s business partners.
  • Open new accounts.
  • Process maintenance requests for all account types.
  • Responsible for maintaining and balancing a cash drawer.
  • Process standard teller transitions and answer telephone inquiries.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent education is required.
