Northstar Bank Colorado’s Longmont branch currently has an opening for a Commercial Relationship Manager position. The position is a full time/exempt position with a possible Saturday rotation. This position will report to the Market President of Greeley.


JOB SUMMARY: The Commercial Relationship Manager is responsible for maintaining and/or generating a loan portfolio over $20 million with a mixture of loans that represent the Northern Colorado market including commercial and customer loans with revenues from $500k to $10 million.


Minimum Qualifications include:

  • College degree in business, finance, accounting or a related field or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience as a business banker or commercial loan officer at a bank.
  • Proven track record of superior financial sales performance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Capacity to work independently and motivation to achieve goals with minimal supervision.

Agriculture Relationship Manager

Northstar Bank Colorado’s Otis branch has an opening for an Agriculture Relationship Manager. This is a full-time/exempt position with a possible Saturday rotation. The position will be located at the Otis branch and report to the Market President.

  • Provide high-quality service to our customers. This includes processing standard teller transactions and answering telephone inquiries.
  • Responsible for maintaining and balancing a cash drawer.
  • Assist in ATM daily cash balancing.
  • Make appropriate general ledger entries.

  • Act as backup to new accounts if needed.

Loan Administrator – Reporting and Analytics

Northstar Bank Colorado currently has a Loan Administrator opening. This is a full-time/exempt position. The position can be located in one of the following locations: Loveland or Colorado Springs – Lake.


The position will report to the SVP, Loan and Credit Administration.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Create/update reports for loan department for tracking work, prepare for audits and exams and Board reporting.
  • Complete FDICIA reviews as assigned.
  • Manage loan related projects, including but not limited to vendor management and consolidation, documentation standardization and procedures, SLA tracking, analytics and workflow management.
  • Manage and update all forms, checklists and other internal job aids.
  • Review loan closing document requests, track and assign work to others and maintain internal service level agreements;
  • Review document packages before closing, including but not limited to: entity and collateral information, adherence with bank policies and procedures, compliance with all state and federal regulations;
  • Review input of information into loan system for booking and funding all loans at closing;
  • Review general ledger balancing activities;
  • Review exception reports and maintain exception clearing system;
  • Performs loan file maintenance and audits as requested. Ensures proper approvals are evident. Also performs routine maintenance in executing proper procedures for other loan administrative tasks;
  • Process credit references received by internal and external customers;
  • Responds to various document requests for internal and external customers.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of loan documentation experience with agricultural, commercial and consumer loan documentation. Consumer Construction disbursement experience preferred.
  • Experience with Laser Pro software preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to handle difficult customer situations.
  • Ability to proficiently use a computer with knowledge of Windows based software.
  • Detailed oriented and well organized.
  • Capability to problem solve and prioritize workload.
  • Ability to multi-task.
